George Gundling

Chief Executive Officer

Responsible for creating, communicating, and implementing the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction of SSi.

George Gundling became president and CEO of SSi in November of 2008. George brings more than 25 years of experience in technology and senior-level business technology leadership to SSi. His previous roles including COO of SSi from 2006 through 2008 prior to being appointed by the SSi Board to the role of President and CEO. Prior to SSi, George spent over 19 years at PepsiCo. At PepsiCo, George’s roles included heading up IT for Frito-Lay International, leading the Enterprise Technology function for PepsiCo U.S.A., and leading the award winning development of the Frito-Lay business intelligence and executive information systems. George’s expertise in systems development and business intelligence has been documented in several case studies including Harvard Business School where George has been guest speaker. Based on the business success of these systems, Frito-Lay was awarded the Smithsonian Award For Technology Excellence. George received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bethany College, West Virginia.

Prakash Vyakaranam

Responsible for technology strategy and vision  for SSi’s customers and SSi Healthcare

Prakash has been engaged in providing end-to-end software solutions for over 15 years having worked with companies like EDS. Prakash has experience in providing software architecture strategies, identifying and forming technical teams for various projects, mentoring teams and individuals etc. His breadth of business knowledge across various verticals like Retail, Telecom, Healthcare, Transportation etc., helps in providing the right kind of technology for the businesses.  Prakash can engage various teams to deliver the right IT strategy and vision to transform IT from a “spend” to providing a quick ROI which is critical for businesses.  Working with several different technologies helped him to strategize which one fits the business the best. He believes that being wedded to a particular technology is no longer a solution to address business problems and can help companies come up with the ideal way to address their issues that provide an efficient and quick return on investment.


Dave Harness

Managing Director, Operations & Mobile Solutions

Responsible for the establishment and optimization of day-to-day operations, overseeing all managed IT solutions and client growth for SSi.

Harness joined SSi as director, client engagement responsible for executing sales and marketing efforts to sustain SSi’s growth, achieving 2012 Dallas Top 100 Award recognizing growing companies in the DFW area. Before joining SSi, Harness spent nearly twenty years at GTE/Verizon managing business development activities, heading up the IT functions for the international affiliates along with international merger and acquisition duties. Harness worked at Frito-Lay on innovative sales automation technology. Harness has BS degree with double majors in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Iowa.

A healthcare technology leader specializing in mobile custom and SaaS solutions to deliver ground breaking healthcare solutions for hospitals, physicians offices and home health organizations.
As SSi’s CIO, Tom is responsible for healthcare strategic project planning, architectural design, mobile and web software development, software integration, on-going implementations and support of SSi’s Health Care software solutions running in over 700+ hospitals and healthcare organizations.
With over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry, Tom is a business driven, results oriented CIO with a proven record partnering with corporate executives and leading the development of healthcare systems at The Studer Group, RISCORP Inc. and Liberty Mutual Inc. Tom’s CIO roles at Sunglass Hut International, Philips Electronics, and Liberty Mutual give Tom a broad and deep understanding of what it takes to establish strong, value added partnerships.

Tom Cavanaugh known as “The Unflappable CIO” is an inspirational DFW conference speaker and actively participates in DFW CIO panels with organizations like the Dallas Business Journal, Robert Half and TechExec. Tom has been instrumental in developing and growing key partnerships with home health and hospital industry experts such as the Studer Group, Briggs Healthcare, Cardinal Health, Pathos and Tenera Home Health.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, S.C.

Bill Cage

Managing Director, Telecom

Bill Cage joined SaaS Software, Inc. in January 2009. Bill brings more than 20 years of experience in telecom technology and senior-level leadership to SaaS Software, Inc..  His previous roles include leading the engineering and marketing effort for the Optical Transmission Division at Alcatel.  Bill started his career with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory building systems for national defense. After joining DSC Communications (acquired by Alcatel), He led a team to build the first calling card system for MCI and Sprint.  He followed that by managing the development of a network management system for carriers in the US as well as Japan.  He received his Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from SMU’s Engineering Department in Dallas, TX.
